NVIDIA described a planned $1bn investment; Brookfield's up-to-$9bn funding remains subject to a nonbinding term sheet. This is a company announcement, not a completed build.
CONFIRMED ORIGINAL SOURCE · NVIDIA Newsroom · published 24 Jul 2026 ↗ANALYSIS: Softer jobs data can support an easing case, while inflation above the Fed’s 2% goal and three July dissenters favouring a rate increase pull the other way. That tension is more useful than a one-word bullish or bearish label.

FACT · Issuer acknowledgement: Ledger CTO Charles Guillemet acknowledged a bug affecting certain Ethereum-app clear-signing flows on 23 August 2026 and stated that Ledger had already deployed a fix. Ledger has not yet published a detailed technical advisory or a public GitHub release tag that independently identifies the patched app version.
EXTERNAL RESEARCHER CLAIM: TestMachine reported that a malicious dApp with WebHID access could attempt to substitute a transaction while the device still displayed the original transaction. Ledger disputes the disclosure timeline, but not that a clear-signing bug existed.
Who may be affected: users signing Ethereum or EVM transactions through a malicious or compromised browser dApp before installing Ledger’s current updates. This concerns an application signing flow; there is no verified evidence that Ledger’s Secure Element, recovery phrases, private-key storage or funds sitting untouched on-chain were compromised.
Safest action: before the next Ethereum, ERC-20, DeFi or other EVM signature, open the official Ledger Wallet/Ledger Live application yourself and install every available device-firmware and Ethereum-app update. If no Ethereum-app update is offered, avoid browser dApps until Ledger publishes clearer version guidance. Do not reset the device, move funds solely because of this alert, or enter a recovery phrase anywhere.
Confirmed versus unconfirmed: the issuer has acknowledged a flaw and says it is fixed. No verified evidence of active exploitation, private-key exposure or losses tied to this issue was found as of this check.
CORRECTION · 24 AUG 2026, 18:38 BST: an earlier version said Ledger’s public GitHub releases documented version 1.22.2 on 12 August. The public release page currently shows 1.22.1 as its latest tagged release, so that unsupported version claim and link have been removed.
Never enter your recovery phrase into a website, email, message, form or unsolicited application. Genuine wallet support will never ask for it.
Material factual claims must carry a clickable credible source and a real timestamp. Official agencies, issuers, manufacturers and foundations take priority. If a claim cannot be verified, it is omitted.
Market readings and tailwind thresholds are analysis, not facts or forecasts. YouTube commentators and quoted company claims remain external opinion or issuer statements unless independently verified.
Markets and evidence change. A material correction should identify what changed, why it changed and when it was reverified. Report a suspected error through @RadTheMaligator on X ↗.
